Dreamworks

Fairies, ponies, and rainbows, were what you wore on sweatshirts when you were little. But, you can modernize it by pairing a little girls tee with My Little Pony, rainbows, or anything else little kiddie with combat boots and adding a studded belt. Mess up your hair with some gel and a flat iron. Put on a dark vampy lip stain and wear a destroyed denim skirt, micro miniskirt (with tights) or distressed skinny jeans. If the neck is too high for you, hold your top where you want the neckline to be, and put a pin or brooch to make the top less frumpy. FYI, if nothing from the girls section fits you, go to Walmart and grab and adult pajama tee.

How to Get an Awesome Locker

Sunday, August 5th, 2012

A locker should do more than hold your books and coat. It should be stylish and ORGANIZED!!! Get a locker shelf to hold your books and a little basket to put a hairbrush, lip gloss, pencils, pens and anything else you might need. You can even buy LockerLookz wallpaper to make it super chic. You can get cute little magnets, air fresheners, and even chandeliers to totally trick out your locker.

The Stuff Every Girl Needs for BTS

Saturday, July 21st, 2012
  1. A fab outfit. You’ve probably heard the ” Look like you’re not trying” advice before. I think that’s a fashion old wives tale. I believe that you should look like you put a tiny bit of effort into your look. But make sure it’s casual. I like sundresses.
  2. Great skin. If you haven’t found your right face wash already, keep looking. And, by the way, you probably roll your eyes at their ads, but Proactiv WORKS!!!!
  3. Awesome boots. When it comes to boots, you have three choices: bright, chic, or rocker. ( And snow boots, but I’m not talking about those.) Pick the category that fits your style.
  4. Cool supplies. Go to stores like Office Max, Target, and Walmart. Look at brands like University of Style.

Kickin’ It

Saturday, July 7th, 2012
Casual wear is a really important part of summer. Make it flirty with a floral print top with a handkerchief hem and a dark-rinse denim skirt. You can also go boho with it with a tie-dye maxi dress. (Get it at a hippie shop, like Sunshine Daydream, which is near Pizza Hut and Walmart in that plaza.) Also, you can go bright and indie by bright, plaid, madras shorts. Pair is with a solid colored tee or tank to tame the wild look.

Warm Weather Glam

Saturday, March 17th, 2012

I realize it may be a little early to bring out my summer style, but for crying out loud, it’s 80 degrees outside! Always lighten up your makeup when the weather shifts and avoid super dark colors. Go in a boho, more feminine direction.

Style confidence

Saturday, March 10th, 2012

Never, ever,be scared to stand out. It always pays off. And if you epic fail, you’ll know not to do that next time. Take a risk with a color you don’t always wear,or an extreme print. Lop off your hair or grow it out. But remember not to go overboard. Rock the huge hair, the sparkly dress, or the blingy necklace.

Find your style!

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

Your accessories are the key to finding out what your style is. Have a silver studded leather cuff or belt? You are a punk rock rebel. Own a slap watch or many Converse All Stars? You are sporty chic. Glitter galore? You’re a glam diva. Girly girls tend to have floral things and gold and silver chains. Have a little bit of everything? You are a true original.

l just got water-resistant faux fur boots to wear at Taft! I  also have a hot pink sweatshirt with a black sequined heart. You can use a tinted lip balm instead of a regular one for a girly touch. One thing I always pay attention to is shape. I love the hoodies  from Victoria’s Secret because they keep your waist and make sure you still look like a girl. With these tips you’ll be one of the best dressed girls at Taft!

Uneven Surface

I love Hi-Low tops. They are crop-tops in the front and maxi dresses in the back. So 70’s! Get it in a vintage floral print to enhance the top’s retro feel. My favorite is from Forever 21. A little bit of a splurge at $3o.00, but it’s worth it. Long n’ lean frames are best for this look, but petites can do less extreme versions.
